OMA is proud to offer the opportunity, for our turntable and plinth customers, to acquire the finest tonearm available anywhere in the world today, the Schroeder Reference and Reference SQ. The Schroeder arm stands apart from everything else in its unrivaled sonic presentation, its unique, patented bearing mechanism, and its sheer beauty of design and craftsmanship. Put simply, there is nothing like the Schroeder, at any price.

Each Schroeder Reference arm requires a minimum of 40 hours to build, and is made entirely by Mr. Frank Schroeder himself, in Berlin, Germany. A trained watchmaker, Schroeder has perfected the Reference arm over the course of thirty years of continuous tonearm building, and holds a US and European patents on the string and magnet bearing concept at the heart of the Reference tone arm. All parts of the Reference are machined by Schroeder manually, and every arm can be customized for each individual client. The armwand's effective length range from 8.5" to 12", and the effective mass from 5 grams to 35 grams, from a wide choice of woods. In short, there is no such thing as a stock Schroeder Reference, or the Reference SQ, which adds further refinements. Orders should be placed a minimum of 18 months in advance. The queue for the Schroeder tonearms (and its dearth on the second hand market) is perhaps the best indication of the esteem in which it is held by discerning audiophiles.

We can help you select the right wood type, length, and mass for your Schroeder Reference, and of course install and set up your new Schroeder arm. Please contact us for more details on pricing, and current lead times for orders.
