OMA Debuts Silvercore Step Up Transformers

Tonight we launched the new Silvercore section to the OMA website, in the Vinyl category.

Silvercore is producing what I think is the best sounding, and certainly the most attractive, line of step up transformers in the world. There are three product lines at different price points, and I don't even have the most expensive one yet, the Professional, but the mid level Silvercore MC has already distinguished itself several times in comparison to a well known SUT that costs nearly four times more, in direct comparisons.

Silvercore is handmade in Germany. For more than one year, I pursued a famous US transformer manufacturer to recreate a 50 year old mic input transformer that was used on some legendary gear that now brings fabulous prices. I fully expected these transformers, which were going to be very expensive to reproduce, to be the end of the line. When I compared the NOS units I had against the similar spec Silvercore iron, I dropped that project like the old hot potato.

I heard these transformers at both the Mill and my home, and placed an order to go with my new Anatase and Schick arms.
