I hope this contribution may be worthwhile for some guys interested in old fashioned gear.
Short time ago a late (not "the latest") pair of the famous Eurodyn finished on Ebay 180403381066.
The winning bidder was my friend P. and I paid the full amount for the speakers together
with considerable shipment charge as requested by the US seller. The seller was informed
that the money transfer from Europe is not as quick as requested by him also in view of
the fact that he was slow in determining the exact freight quote.
The seller obviously was not satisfied with the price and told me before that he expected
two or three times the winning bid as result of this auction. This may be the reason why
he decided not to ship.
The speakers are relisted now on Ebay 180415422486 in revised form together with a pair
of amps from a second finished auction of the same day (Sept 13 of US time). In the text
he says that "This is a re-listing of the same items as these transactions did not complete
successfully because the winning bidders did not comply with the terms stated in the listings.
Both auctions were fully refunded to their buyers".
This is not true, I at least did not see any refund (the buyer of the amps I don't know of). By
the way, why should he perform the additional effort of refunding instead of shipping what he
sold? I strongly recommend everybody not to try to buy these speakers, because I will do
everything to get my shipment finally. A criminal complaint is already made in the US. By the
way the seller refused paypal payment in the completion of our transaction...
Besides the amps are not in original condition, the first tube EF12, the original rectifier with
tube socket and at least one volume knob are missing (this potentiometer axis looks too long
so I suspect a substitute pot).
The speakers seemingly miss the textile cloth on one bass, the large protective covers are not
included and the baffle and dispersion lens on the first picture are also not a part of this offer.
